Each object (chart or table) can be expanded to full screen using the double arrow icon on its top right corner. Filters you set up will apply to all sheets until you clear them.<\/p>\n<h1>1. The selection is called a &#8220;filter&#8221;. Create your filter by selecting one or more equipment types from the <span style=\"color: #000080;\">RCM Analyses<\/span> table. All the objects immediately reflect the item or items selected in the filter. Your filter appears in the top dark bar, for example the filter &#8220;FLEET_NAME&#8221;. Add or subtract items in the filter by clicking them in an object. It is considered the most important KPI for judging an organization&#8217;s ability to perform initial RCM efficiently. The\u00a0RCM efficiency KPI target is between 5 and 6 Exclude the analyses that are &#8220;In progress&#8221; from the filter. Compare performance among different asset types to gain an appreciation of overall organizational RCM ability.<\/p>\n<h2>\u00a0RCM completed v.s. scheduled<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.livingreliability.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/RcmCompletedVsSchedule.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-6660\" src=\"http:\/\/www.livingreliability.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/RcmCompletedVsSchedule.jpg\" alt=\"RcmCompletedVsSchedule\" width=\"278\" height=\"138\" \/><\/a>A KPI measuring compliance with schedule. The data for this graph is provided by the RCM coordinator or facilitator on a Excel spreadsheet. That information is then automatically combined with the data from Mesh to determine the progress of the RCM project against the target scheule. An example of the Excel sheet provided can be seen <a href=\"http:\/\/www.livingreliability.com\/en\/posts\/rcm-planning-sheet\/\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Failure Modes actual vs estimated<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.livingreliability.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/FailureModesActualVsEst.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-6661\" src=\"http:\/\/www.livingreliability.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/FailureModesActualVsEst.jpg\" alt=\"FailureModesActualVsEst\" width=\"250\" height=\"129\" \/><\/a>Actual v.s. number of failure modes estimated for an equipment type at RCM project planning phase. This KPI measures the skill of the facilitator in assessing, during the RCM planning phase, the number of failure modes that will need to be documented during the analysis.<\/p>\n<p>The facilitator combines this with the &#8220;Failure modes per hour&#8221; KPI in order to estimate the number of RCM sessions needed to perform the analysis. The data source is is the risk analysis performed in Mesh knowledge builder <sup>[<a href=\"#rcm-dashboards-n-2\" class=\"footnoted\" id=\"to-rcm-dashboards-n-2\">2<\/a>]<\/sup>.\u00a0 Mesh provides user configurable selection grids for the probability and severity of a failure mode in various categories (e.g. Cost, Safety, Environment Operations). The Mesh feedback system is the tool used to make knowledge suggestions and comments. The visualization objects in this sheet are designed to measure and assess the knowledge related activity conducted via the Mesh feedback system. The feedback system is the recommended tool by which RCM auditors may examine, question, and finally sign off on each RCM analysis.<\/p>\n<p>See, creating a story on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.livingreliability.com\/en\/posts\/rcm-dashboards\/2\/\">page 2<\/a><br \/>\n<!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h1>Telling a story<\/h1>\n<p>Assume there are two scenarios that you would like to display independently in your dashboard. Say, in your organization you practice two methods of performing RCM analysis.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>The review group method (developed by John Moubray)<\/li>\n<li>The interview method (described by J.C. Leverette at NAVAIR)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>You would like the option of analyzing RCM analysis performance of either or both methods. Do it by using Qlik&#8217;s story function as follows. One story relates to the effectiveness of the RCM analysis project when using only the traditional &#8220;review group meeting&#8221; methodology. In this methodology SMEs and a facilitator perform the analysis as a team exercise.<\/p>\n<p>A second story relates to the overall organizational RCM effectiveness which would also include RCM carried out using the &#8220;interview&#8221; methodology. In this methodology a facilitator (for example, Mai) uses existing documentation (e.g. available FMEAs) and develops the RCM analysis while consulting the SMEs as necessary for clarification and validation.<\/p>\n<p>How do we use the dashboards to tell both stories? Of the 17 systems in the RCM analysis project, assume that the Scrubber and Aftercooler were analyzed using the interview method.
