The choices are<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>By Failure,<\/li>\n<li>By Potential Failure, or<\/li>\n<li>By Suspension<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Suspension:<\/strong> A renewal of a Failure Mode (part) when it has not failed.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Failure:<\/strong> The inability of a function to be performed to the satisfaction of the user. Each organizaton must develop its own standards of what degree of deterioration constitutes a failure with regard to each Failure Mode.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Potential Failure:<\/strong> A Failure which is imminent. Should nothing be done about it the direst consequences of the Failure will be incurred.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Feedback:<\/strong> Structured information provided by the technician to correct or add to the knowledge base.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Objectives<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>At work order completion transfer the Failure Mode(s) and their Event Type(s) to the work order historical database for purposes of Reliability Analysis<\/li>\n<li>Whenever the current RCM knowledge deviates from reality as discovered by the technician during execution of the work order recommend a knowledge change (called a &#8220;Feedback&#8221;).<\/li>\n<li>Display the reliability of an equipment, its components, and its Failure Modes.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Actor(s):<\/strong> Technician, Supervisor, Reliability Analyst<\/p>\n<p><strong>Activities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Access the LRCM Manager<\/li>\n<li>Select a Failure Mode and Event Type<\/li>\n<li>Verify and\/or deselect the Failure Mode Selection<\/li>\n<li>Select Simple or Complex Numbering of Tree nodes<\/li>\n<li>Recommend (Feedback) a knowledge update of a node (other than a Failure Mode)<\/li>\n<li>Recommend (Feedback) a knowledge <em>textual<\/em>\u00a0or <em>image\u00a0<\/em>update of a Failure Mode node<\/li>\n<li>To avoid duplication\u00a0check to see if someone else has already made the suggestion.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"text-align: center; background-color: #ede4e4;\" colspan=\"3\">Activity 1.\u00a0Access the LRCM Manager<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p><strong>User Action:<\/strong>\u00a01.
